How to Survive the Sinking

Survival priority order

Orientation: identify your deck and nearest staircase.
Objective: confirm whether the game wants investigation, rescue or escape.
Route: favor known open paths over unexplored detours once flooding begins.
Information: watch NPC movement, signage, lighting and water level.
Decision: pause before irreversible-looking choices; multiple endings are confirmed.

Staring at one puzzle while the environment or objective changes.

Entering lower decks without remembering a staircase back.

The game uses historical atmosphere, but gameplay cues should lead your actions.
