How to Survive the Sinking

Know your return route, conserve search time, follow changing objectives, and never assume a previously safe corridor remains open.

Survival priority order

  1. Orientation: identify your deck and nearest staircase.
  2. Objective: confirm whether the game wants investigation, rescue or escape.
  3. Route: favor known open paths over unexplored detours once flooding begins.
  4. Information: watch NPC movement, signage, lighting and water level.
  5. Decision: pause before irreversible-looking choices; multiple endings are confirmed.

Common mistakes to avoid

Tunnel vision

Staring at one puzzle while the environment or objective changes.

No return plan

Entering lower decks without remembering a staircase back.

Assuming history is the solution

The game uses historical atmosphere, but gameplay cues should lead your actions.
